Snoring is the sound that occurs from the vibration of soft tissue in the nose, back of the throat and roof of the mouth (soft palate).
This vibration is due to the relaxed tissue obstructing the free flow of air through the mouth and nasal passages. Snoring is common and can be triggered by lack of sleep, alcohol use and smoking.
HOW INLIFT SNORING TREATMENT WORKS
Inlift laser snoring treatment uses a fractionated technology to gently heat the soft tissue in the mouth, throat and soft palate. This heating works to tighten this tissue whilst also stimulating collagen and elastin growth to strengthen the soft tissue. This growth makes the tissue less prone to prolapse and less likely to obstruct airflow, meaning less snoring.

Every new client of Southern Skin Clinic will require a full cosmetic consultation. This consultation will include clinical photography and skin assessment based on your concerns and expectations. In this consultation a sleep history will be taken and a full assessment of your upper throat, tonsils, soft palate, uvula and neck will be completed. Dr Ali and Nurse Tess will then tailor a treatment plan that is specific to you.

The treatment is non-invasive. The specialised hand piece is inserted into the mouth and the whole process take approximately 15-20 minutes. The process is comfortable with a gentle warm feeling as the energy is delivered.
